New Wood Pile

The Railroad recently acquired a new wood pile. It is located at the end of the small shed at the recently renovated turntable area. Snow sits on the top while a cardinal perches at one end. The wood will mainly be used as fire wood throughout this section of the railroad.

Food Lion Collapse

Town Plaza's Food Lion has taken its last fall. Severely damaged during Hurricane Isabel in September, 2003, the grocery store has been closed for months. As seen in the picture above, the front walls have collapsed. The store, however, was found structurally stable and has since been gutted. Talk of renovation has been circulating for months, though no official plans have yet been announced.
